I’m in revisions on my debut science fiction series, currently named Sojourners.

Conscripted into the army, Daniel and his platoon encounter an unstoppable alien that wipes out his soldiers before implanting itself in his chest. After miraculously healing, Daniel learns the alien will soon burst out of his body, killing him in the process.

With only a short time left, Daniel finds himself caught between the conflicting forces of a government agency intent on manipulating him and the alien inside him, oppressed scaled humans taking refuge in the jungle, and the Goddess, perhaps the last surviving advanced alien who controls the orbital defense system capable of wiping out every human settlement on the planet.

But when Daniel learns some of his platoon may have survived as unwilling test subjects, he launches a desperate mission to rescue his surviving soldiers from a secret government fortress.

As he prepares for the assault, Daniel comes to realize that, to complete his mission, he may have to tear down everything he’s sworn to protect.
